It’s amazing how you can meet someone online and have a instant connection! Over a year ago, I received a post on my wall like this, “wish you lived in California, I just got engaged and I would love for you to shoot our pictures!” Well, that comment turned into a wedding! It turned out that I was heading to Cali in a few months, we met up for an engagement session, we became instant friends, they booked me for their wedding, which turned into a REAL wedding workshop and a lifelong friendship was made…thank you facebook!

Jena and I talked almost daily while she was planning her wedding, she planned and made EVERYTHING! It was such a labor of love and the results were AMAZING!!! I was on wedding photographer cloud 9 all day long! If you could have asked me for my idea of a perfect wedding, Jena’s was at the top of my list. It was amazing and I really didn’t want it to end!

I’m so happy to share a little of this day with you, there were so many pictures and so many moments but here’s a little sneak peek into the day. And, I must give a big thank you to Brianna Venzke for being such an awesome second shooter that day! (Oh and btw, Brianna is also my graphic design girl, she’s fabulous, check her out!)

Ashley + James {Wedding} The Mansion, Hilliard, FL

This wedding made me feel old…seriously. I’ve known the bride since she was a baby. I was her K-5 teacher. I taught her piano. My husband and I were her youth leaders. So, as you can imagine, this wedding made me happy, sad, proud, VERY EMOTIONAL and to be honest, it was such a joy to shoot. Ashley was such a beautiful bride, she seriously was glowing all day! And James, well, that grin on his face….it never left! He was the happiest groom I think I have ever seen! As always, each wedding makes me love my job more…I’m so blessed! Enjoy this beautiful wedding, I sure enjoyed shooting it!

Liane + Alan {Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, Jacksonville, FL}

Some couples just steal your heart…Liane and Alan are one of those couples! Sometimes things don’t always go as planned! On the day of their beautiful outdoor wedding, it rained. And not just a little rain, it REALLY rained! Through it all, Liane stayed positive and the whole wedding party just rolled with the punches! At the end of the day, the wedding was still amazing and Liane and Alan said “I do” so all was good in the world! I have to give a HUGE thank you to Jenn Guthrie and Brent Culbertson, who were amazing assistants and captured beautiful photos! You guys rock! Laci + Robbie {Rustic-Chic Barn Wedding in Gainesville, FL}

From the first time I met with Laci, I KNEW this wedding was going to be amazing! But, she totally exceeded my expectations! I was seriously giddy with excitement when I arrived at the B&B where the girls were getting ready…then I saw her dress and squealed again. Then I stopped by the reception site on the way to church…did the happy dance…not kidding! EVERY single detail was just amazing! Laci worked so hard on this wedding and it all paid off! The whole day was just magical. Laci was so relaxed and made my job so easy! Robbie was the ideal groom. He CLEARLY adored Laci and they both were such a JOY to work with! I have to admit, this was one wedding that I didn’t want to end! A big thank you for my assistants, Ronda and Aubrey and a HUGE thank you to Laci and Robbie for such a beautiful day…your hard work paid off and made me a very happy photog!

Jessica + Chris {River House, St. Augustine Florida}

I loved this couple and the COLORS!!! Yellow and grey is one of my favorite color combos and Jessica just rocked the details!!! Along with Jessica’s obvious sense of style, she was the most amazing, calm, easy-going bride I have ever met!!! When I arrived at the wedding, the skies were DARK…is was beginning to rain and although the wedding was scheduled to be outside…Jessica was kept saying, “it’s going to be fine”! And, she was right! The rain held off until we were finished with the formals…it was amazing! The day was perfect, the bride was stunning, the groom was all smiles, the wedding party was a blast and it was truly a great honor and joy to shoot this wedding. A big thank you to my assistants for the day, Holli and Kylie, and a HUGE thank you to Jessica and Chris for being so amazing!

Amanda + Tres {Wedding at The Glen Venue, Glen St. Mary, Florida}

This adorable wedding was shot by Jenn (my assistant) and Brandi (her assistant for the day) and edited by me! Jenn and I have been shooting weddings together for over an year now and sometimes we have to split up (although it’s not our favorite thing to do) and shoot 2 weddings on the same day! Jenn and Brandi did an amazing job! This wedding was so adorable and Amanda and Tres were such a JOY to work with! I LOVE their expressions in each image! Amanda was just glowing and Tres clearly adores her! Oh and check out that cute little wedding cake…seriously the little birds…LOVE THEM! All the cute little touches…the signs, the mason jars, the colors and the COWBOY BOOTS…seriously…just perfect!

Tabitha+Justin {Oyster Bay Harbour Yacht and Country Club, Amelia Island Wedding}

I love this venue! Seriously so beautiful! I was so excited when Tabitha and Justin booked us for their wedding and I found out that would get to shoot at the Oyster Bay Harbour Yacht and Country Club again! It was a beautiful (but rather chilly) day in March on Amelia Island, but Tabitha was all smiles and such a sweet and excited bride! The wedding party was a blast, the food was amazing, the reception was eventful (a guest took a swim) but overall it was an amazing day and Jenn and I were thrilled to shoot it!

Venue – Oyster Bay Harbour Yacht and Country Club Florist – Dottie B’s Florist

Kaitlyn + Justin {Amelia Island, Walkers Landing Wedding}

Over a year and half ago, Kaitlyn (the bride) came up to me while my family and I were out to eat one Sunday after church. She said, “Hi, I’m Katelyn, I stalk your page. See that guy over there (she pointed to Justin) I’m going to marry him one day and you will shoot our wedding! Well, as soon as they got engaged, guess who called me!

Katelyn and Justin’s wedding was a joy to shoot. I must admit though, I cried A LOT! Especially when her dad (who married them btw) sang a song for them, the very song he sang to her mother during their ceremony! And guess what? It was the same song my husband sang to me on our wedding day!! Ahhhhh….I was crying big time, the UGLY cry!!! Do you know how hard it is to shoot while you are crying and mascara is running down your face and in your eyes?

Anyway, I recovered, until the father/daughter dance (see picture below) and then lost it again! Seriously…after that wedding, I now use waterproof mascara!!!

All in all, it was an amazing day, Jenn and I had an amazing time! Beautiful wedding, beautiful couple, and I LOVED every single thing about this day! This is why I do it folks…my job is amazing!

{Christine & Daniel} The Officers Club – Jacksonville FL Wedding Photographer

Well, it’s finally time to start blogging our weddings from 2012! It has been a CRAZY wedding season and we have had some AMAZING weddings! I just can’t wait to share! Our first wedding is Christine and Daniel and what a cute little story they have! I first meet Christine almost 2 years ago! Christine and Daniel were already married but due to Daniel being in the military, they were not able to have an “official” wedding! I was originally booked for March of 2011 but Daniel was deployed and could not make it back…so we rescheduled for Dec of 2011…well, once again, he was not able to come home! So, poor Christine tried again but this time her venue was not available so at the last minute, they made a venue change but the wedding was still amazing! Christine and Daniel were a joy to work with! Their love is clearly seen and they are true examples that Love conquers all things. Enjoy the pictures from this sweet little wedding, I sure enjoyed photographing it!!!
